STORYTELLING WITH A DIFFERENCE

We tell stories about individuals and organizations who are working to make the world around them a better place. Our fourth annual workshop took place August 17-21, 2016 at the George S. Turnbull Portland Center. Our workshop offers video students a “beyond bootcamp,” team-based experience that places an emphasis on collaboration, creativity and storytelling. We are sponsored by the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication and the Agora Journalism CenterCanon USA provides C100 and C300 cameras, and Atomos provides ProRes recorders. Workshop creators Sung Park and Wes Pope are Co-Directors of the SOJC's Multimedia Journalism master's program. Together we have coached at: NPPA Multimedia Immersion Workshop, The Mountain Workshops, Syracuse Fall Workshop and The Eddie Adams Workshop. We are indebted to each of those amazing workshops – we have borrowed many great ideas and gained much inspiration over the years.
